Love it or hate it, it’s that time of year again! This year I was on a mission to try some new fair foods and beers. Our first stop of the day was the Blue Barn for some deep-fried blue cheese corn fritters and Carmel Apple Pi Beers (both delicious). The Snicker Bar Salad and the ‘Pop Rock’ French toast were tempting, but I couldn’t pass up those corn fritters—yum! Then, we wandered over to the Agriculture Building to check out the exhibits and grab some apple cider freeze pops from the apple stand. After wandering through the horse barns and most of the exhibit buildings throughout the fairgrounds, we picked up some cheese curds (couldn’t resist) and I decided to try Sweetland Orchard’s Cherry Rhubarb Cider from the Ballpark Cafe. Loved the cider, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with cheese curds. On the way out, I stopped by the JonnyPop stand for a Chocolate-Dipped Cherry-on-a-Spoon. Simple, delicious and a perfect treat to end the day!

Did you try any of the 50+ new fair foods this year? Any favorites?
