With so many great vegetarian options at World Street Kitchen, it can be hard to choose. That said, you can’t go wrong with the Crispy Marinated Tofu Yum Yum Rice Bowl, which is filled with fluffy white rice, crunchy peanuts, cilantro, fresh basil, shiitake mushrooms, crispy strips of tofu, a hidden soft cooked egg and a delicious secret sauce. The Bangkok Burrito (another great option) is stuffed with fried rice, basil leaves, crispy chunks of tofu and WSK’s secret sauce, plus there’s the added bonus of a soft, warm flour tortilla. Decisions, decisions! The Charred Squash and Shiitake Mushroom tacos aren’t bad, but I have to admit, I’m not the biggest fan of the pickled red onions or the corn tortillas. I haven’t tried any items on the snack menu or brunch menu yet, but I will report back when I do. I’m also eyeing up that falafel burger!
Overall, the menu is very vegetarian and gluten-free friendly and there are even a few vegan options as well. Swing by for happy hour, which is available daily from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm – close, for half price snacks, $5 cocktails and $3 house wine/local tap beer. // www.eatwsk.com
